Question: How to make money blogging?
I graduated with my masters degree in journalism, but have not had much luck finding a job in this economy. I want to use my writing skills to blog and I have heard you can make money doing so… Can anyone give me some more info and how to start.
I am really passionate about writing, beauty/ fashion, and books. So I think I would want to write on one of those topics.

There are several, legitimate ways to make money using Blogger. The key is to stick with it…it may take 60 days, and marketing your blog to get traffic. I have a couple of links to really good programs in my Profile.

You are probably going to have to be very patient and love what you are writing about. Of course there are also some autoblogging softwares and services out there that are pretty cool and cut down the time investment by quite a bit.
Basically just make sure you love what you are writing about and don’t give up. Then add some monetization via affiliate links or banners and stuff like that.

The problem is readership. Without content you have no readership, yet content is so easily stolen nowadays on the Internet.
And “side money” is often not worth the effort, unless you have a LOT of content.
Hubpages is one of those Google partners that ask common writers to write stuff for their “hubs” on variety of topics. However, vast majority earn pennies a day. There are a few who have gotten to the point of making $ 400-$ 1000 a month off hubpages / adsense alone but those are very few.
So “side money”? Let’s just say since I got started a year ago, I’ve earned… $ 200 (total)
The rate is increasing though. First $ 100 took most of the year. Second $ 100 took 2 months.

Hello!
The biggest secret to being a “profitable” blogger is blogging about your passion. Blogs that are built with a reason of making money usually don’t make it far and do not make money.
You need to update your blog often. Once a day is the BEST but if you cannot do so, try to update it at least 2-3 times a week – this way your readers will see that you update often, they will come back and read your blog again, maybe click on some ads, buy something from your blog…
If you want to become pro blogger, you need to get steady traffic, you should consider coaching from a problogger, like shoemoney, yaro starak, ewinchia, etc. Learn from the master to become a master. There’s a lot to learn to become a succesful blogger.
