Creating a Podcast: An Outline

There's no doubt that creating a podcast will soon be much easier than it is today, as new software tools are created that will simplify some of the more confusing aspects of podcast recording and hosting. In the meantime, take a look at "Creating a Podcast--An Outline" at PodcastCorner.com. It features a step-by-step presentation complete with screen shots.

PodcastCorner is a podcasting forum founded by Shawn Milo and some other podcasters, including me. Please feel free to join and participate in the community.

Use Bloglines to Keep Track of Podcasts

It's easy to track podcasts with the Bloglines RSS reader:

Once you subscribe to a podcast feed in Bloglines, it will be added to your personal My Feeds list. When a new podcast is available, you’ll see the alert next to that feed. Each podcast update has a text note accompanied by an “enclosure” icon that links to the audio podcast file. Simply click on that enclosure link to start the podcast. That will launch your desktop media player or specialized podcasting software like www.dopplerradio.net, and the podcast of your choice will play right from Bloglines.

The complete tip is here.

How to Distribute Podcasts: P2P Style

Death in the Afternoon has a great idea to seed Grokster with legit files for the Supremes to review. Examples include Lessig's Free Culture.

Even better, I think, is to flood Grokster with Bag & Baggage and Law Related things that Suck podcasts. The Justices will love em.
