Podscope Is Up But Still Working Out the Kinks
Podscope, the search engine for podcasts, is now live. Since its functionality seems to be limited to single-word searches, it's more of a novelty for now.
For example, a search for "lawyer" returned a number of hits, including a show about workers' compensation in Hawaii. But searching for "workers' compensation" or "workman's comp" turned up nothing.
Searching for unique single words sometimes works. A search for "Nirvana" returned three hits. Push a button and you'll hear the portion of the podcast in which the word "Nirvana" was used. All three references seem to be about the band with Kurt Cobain, rather than the state of perfect being characterized by harmony and joy.
