del.icio.us gets funded

Congratulations to Joshua Schachter, who created the brilliant link-sharing service del.icio.us, which helps to power BlawgCast.com's legal podcast feed, for being able to devote himself full time to maintaining del.icio.us.

I am excited to finally be able to devote all of my energy to working on and improving this site, and I'll also be able to acquire some much-needed infrastructure. I'm still in charge of the site and still committed to making it as good as it can be.
Josh has taken on some investment capital so we can be guaranteed that this service will be around for a while longer.

If you're interested in learning more about del.icio.us and how it works?

J. Matthew Buchanan had this post earlier today: Del.icio.us links on Promote the Progress - sharing links to highlight intellectual property issues

My simple explanation: social bookmarking is the sharing of bookmarks. Del.icio.us is a tool that enables people to share their bookmarks. I collect my bookmarks here, assigning tags to each bookmark I add. People can see my bookmarks on my del.icio.us site.

But here’s the really cool part. Del.icio.us gives you an easy way to share your collected links on a particular topic....

Give it a try.
